Skilled, caring touch can be profoundly supportive throughout a person’s life. I believe it is particularly helpful during times of illness. Oncology Massage is customized bodywork performed with specific modifications to position, timing, and technique that make it safe and effective for people with active cancer and/or cancer history. Oncology Massage can be performed in a massage office, in a client’s home, or in a hospital setting, depending on the needs of the client.
The challenges of motherhood can begin long before the baby is born. Prenatal Massage can greatly ease the physical, mental, and emotional stresses that can arise during the transition into motherhood. Skilled and experienced touch does much more than just relieve pain and tension. It can help women in every stage of the childbearing year, from conception to birth, as well as the postpartum period.
Deep Relaxation Massage
There are many layers of soft and connective tissue the body. Traditional Deep Tissue Massage works with these layers to relax and lengthen the tissues, and to release holding patterns in the most effective and efficient way possible. Unfortunately, for many people the phrase “Deep Tissue” has come to be synonymous with deep pressure. During my Deep Relaxation Massage I move slowly and deliberately, “melting” through the layers. The result is a deep alteration of structure and muscle restrictions without sacrificing pleasure and relaxation. Trust me, it’s really good!
Private Yoga Instruction
I offer private yoga instruction to individuals in their home. This is a great way for beginners to learn the basics of yoga or for experienced yogis to deepen their practice. My style is an eclectic blend of the myriad of yoga traditions I have studied since my introduction to yoga in 1998. I hold 200- and 500-hour RYT certifications from YogaSpirit Studios and am recognized by Yoga Alliance as an Experienced Registered Yoga Teacher.
